Beckmann Volmer Steel Technology Co. Ltd. was established in Qingdao in 2006 as a wholly owned subsidiary of Beckmann Volmer International. Since then some of the largest Chinese wind turbine manufacturers have become our customers.
Originally designed as a modest 2,500 sq meter facility, it was subsequently expanded to meet growing demand and now boasts a total floor space of over 11,500 sq meters. To ensure the highest possible inhouse production capability, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art welding technology, from CNC plasma- and autogenous laser cutters to shot blasting equipment and an on-site painting plant. Our machinery is ideal for large, bulky components such as mainframes and generator frames. We have two separate areas for stainless steel production and for container construction.
In China, we are certified in accordance with the German welding standard DIN 18800 Category E, Germanischer Lloyd Rules, DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 and DIN ISO 14001. This facility has allowed us to achieve our ambitions of supplying the Chinese market with German engineering expertise from the location of Qingdao.
